Ground Zero Imam Rauf Says He Won’t Move Mosque Because Muslims Around World Will Take It The Wrong Way

He openly states that he cares more about how radical Muslims abroad will take moving the mosque than Americans here in the United States that have made it clear they feel it is inappropriate for the Imam to use Ground Zero as a launching pad for a mega-mosque and Islamic cultural center specifically meant to make some sort of statement about Islam. Does this make any sense at all? All this truly does is expose where his loyalties lie, and that is with the Islamic extremists abroad who might view moving the mosque as a defeat, rather than with the American people who are beseeching him in good will to move the mosque as Ground Zero is not the proper place for an Imam, with a history that shows he is not as moderate as the media would have you believe, to make some sort of declaration to America and the world about Islam. What kind of message is the Imam sending? He is essentially sending the message that the mosque must be built or else America will face the wrath of radical jihadists.
