Barack Obama: Crisis Is "Great Opportunity"
It is nothing short of a great opportunity to advance a socialist agenda upon our great nation. The Associated Press reports that Obama "cast these bleak times as nothing less than a 'great opportunity.'" This is not an idea that Barack Obama came up with. Rahm Emanuel said that it was imperative to "never allow a crisis to go to waste." Obama is foisting his radical program upon a scared nation and taking advantage of a recession to push for an unprecedented expansion of government.

Stanford Economics Profesor Michael Boskin: "Obama's Radicalism Is Killing The Dow"
Professor Boskin writes in the Wall Street Journal that "a financial crisis is the worst time to change the foundations of American capitalism." He argues that "it's hard not to see the continued sell-off on Wall Street and the growing fear on Main Street as a product, at least in part, of the realization that our new president's policies are designed to radically re-engineer the market-based U.S. economy, not just mitigate the recession and financial crisis. The illusion that Barack Obama will lead from the economic center has quickly come to an end."

Republican Jewish Coalition Calls Calls On Obama Administration To Withdraw Freeman Appointment
RJC Executive Director Matt Brooks issued the following statement:
Recent reports have confirmed concerns with the naming of Chas Freeman to head the sensitive and influential office of chairman of the National Intelligence Council. Freeman, who heads the Saudi-funded Middle East Policy Council (MEPC), is a long-standing apologist for the Saudi regime and a harsh and ideological critic of Israel. Additionally, Freeman has asserted that the Chinese government's "unforgivable mistake" during the Tiananmen Square massacre in 1989 was its "failure to intervene on a timely basis" and said Communist officials were "overly cautious" in responding to the student protests.
Freeman's unvarnished animosity toward Israel and deep personal and business connections to Saudi Arabia and China should have triggered a careful vetting before his appointment to such a sensitive post was announced. In fact, no such vetting took place.
Members of Congress on both sides of the aisle have expressed concern about the Freeman appointment. Nine representatives sent a letter to the inspector general of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, asking for an investigation into Freeman's ties with Saudi Arabia. The letter was written by Rep. Mark Kirk (R-IL), and signed by seven other Republicans, including Minority Leader John Boehner (R-OH) and Minority Whip Eric Cantor (R-VA), as well as one Democrat. Separately, Democratic Rep. Steve Israel (D-NY) sent a similar letter to the inspector general. Sen. Charles Schumer (D-NY) went so far as to place a private call to White House chief of staff Rahm Emanual to express his concerns about Freeman. Kirk and Israel later asked the inspector general to include in his investigation Freeman's connections with a Chinese government-owned oil company.
National Jewish Democratic Council (NJDC) Executive Director Ira Forman acknowledged that Freeman "is a strong, strong Arabist who in some of his comments has strongly skewered his analysis of the region." Forman said, "It's not a pick I would have made."
Given the bipartisan concerns about Freeman's background, we call on President Obama to withdraw this appointment. In the spirit of bipartisan cooperation, we urge the NJDC to join us in speaking out publicly against the Freeman appointment and calling on President Obama to withdraw it.

Egyptian cleric Muhammad Hussein Ya’qoub delivered a speech which aired on the Egyptian Al-Rahma TV on January 17, 2009. In it he declared his genocidal vision and said that the Islamic duty to annihalate the Jews exists regardless of any Israeli "occupation" of Arab land. In his speech he declares that "if the Jews left Palestine to us, would we start loving them? Of course not. We will never love them. Absolutely not. The Jews are infidels – not because I say so, and not because they are killing Muslims, but because Allah said: 'The Jews say that Uzair is the son of Allah, and the Christians say that Christ is the son of Allah. These are the words from their mouths. They imitate the sayings of the disbelievers before. May Allah fight them. How deluded they are.' It is Allah who said that they are infidels. Your belief regarding the Jews should be, first, that they are infidels, and second, that they are enemies. They are enemies not because they occupied Palestine. They would have been enemies even if they did not occupy a thing. Allah said: 'You shall find the strongest men in enmity to the disbelievers [sic] to be the Jews and the polytheists.' Third, you must believe that the Jews will never stop fighting and killing us. They [fight] not for the sake of land and security, as they claim, but for the sake of their religion: 'And they will not cease fighting you until they turn you back you’re your religion, if they can.' This is it. We must believe that our fighting with the Jews is eternal, and it will not end until the final battle – and this is the fourth point. You must believe that we will fight, defeat, and annihilate them, until not a single Jew remains on the face of the Earth. It is not me who says so. He goes on to declare, "As for you Jews – the curse of Allah upon you. The curse of Allah upon you, whose ancestors were apes and pigs. You Jews have sown hatred in our hearts, and we have bequeathed it to our children and grandchildren. You will not survive as long as a single one of us remains."

"President Barack Obama doesn’t go anywhere without his TelePrompter. The textbook-sized panes of glass holding the president’s prepared remarks follow him wherever he speaks. Resting on top of a tall, narrow pole, they flank his podium during speeches in the White House’s stately parlors. They stood next to him on the floor of a manufacturing plant in Indiana as he pitched his economic stimulus plan. They traveled to the Department of Transportation this week and were in the Capitol Rotunda last month when he paid tribute to Abraham Lincoln in six-minute prepared remarks. Obama’s reliance on the teleprompter is unusual — not only because he is famous for his oratory, but because no other president has used one so consistently and at so many events, large and small. After the teleprompter malfunctioned a few times last summer and Obama delivered some less-than-soaring speeches, reports surfaced that he was training to wean himself off of the device while on vacation in Hawaii. But no such luck. ...
Obama has relied on a teleprompter through even the shortest announcements and when repeating the same lines on his economic stimulus plan that he's been saying for months — whereas past presidents have mostly worked off of notes on the podium except during major speeches, such as the State of the Union."

Hillary Clinton Says Israel Is Breaching The "Road Map"
Reuters reports that U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton criticised on Wednesday Israeli acion in Arab East Jerusalem as "clearly...unhelpful and not in keeping with the obligations entered into under the 'road map'. It is an issue that we intend to raise with the government of Israel and the government at the municipal level in Jerusalem." Israel has in recent days issued orders for the demolition of homes in East Jerusalem it says were built illegally.
Meanwhile, the Iranian regime urged global Muslim "resistance" against Israel. Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei called on Wednesday for world Muslims to join the Palestinian jihad against the Jews. "The only way to save Palestine is resistance. Support and help to Palestinians is a mandatory duty of all Muslims. I now tell all Muslim brothers and sisters to join forces and break the immunity of the Zionist criminals," Khamenei said. Further, the AP reports that Iran's military chief is warning Israel that its nuclear facilities are within the range of Iranian missiles. The warning came from Iran's Revolutionary Guards commander Gen. Mohammad Ali Jafari.
What was Hillary's response to this? Her response was just to accuse Iran of "interference." Maybe she should spend a little less time worrying about East Jerusalem and more time worrying about the Iranian race toward nuclear weapons.

Another Obama Appointee Owes Back Taxes
Giethner, Daschle, Killefer, Solis...and now Kirk.
The Associated Press reports that "Ron Kirk, nominated as U.S. Trade Representative in the Obama administration, owes an estimated $10,000 in back taxes from earlier in the decade" and has only now "agreed to make his payments."
The AP reports that the Senate Finance Committee said Monday that the taxes arise from Kirk's handling of speaking fees that he donated to his alma mater, and for his deduction of the full cost of season tickets to the Dallas Mavericks professional basketball team. The AP goes on to say that "Kirk routinely gave any speaking fees he earned to Austin College, the committee said, and did not list them on his tax returns. Instead, the committee said he should have listed the fees as income, then claimed them as charitable donations. The estimated effect was to reduce Kirk's tax bill by an estimated $5,800, according to the report. Kirk also deducted more than $17,000 as entertainment expenses for the cost of Mavericks' tickets. The committee said he substantiated about $9,900 of that amount, and will owe about $2,600 in taxes on the balance."

Liberal Media Elite In Talks With White House And Shortly Thereafter There Is A Concerted Effort To Focus On And Attack Rush Limbaugh
Politico reported on "what may count as Washington’s longest-running conversation — a street-corner bull session between four old friends [WH Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, ABC's George Stephanopoulos, and CNN's James Carville and Paul Begala]" and that "it is quite likely that Washington’s prevailing political and media interpretation — at least on the Democratic side — is being hatched on these calls." Surprise, surprise, we see these people get on telivision and they all take the same line of attack against Rush Limbaugh as being the ruler of all things Republican. In fact, Newsbusters documents how phone conferences apparently "beared fruit" with the media attack on Rush Limbaugh, documenting "the combined attack emanating out of the secret phone call strategy session pushing the themes that Rush is the 'voice of the GOP' and that he wants Obama to be a failure." With all this should it comes as no surprise that even an NBC is reporting on the Democrat strategy of focusing on Rush Limbaugh to set up a straw man that they hope they can destroy?
Lawmakers Concerned Over Billions Pledged To Gaza
Fox News reports that "lawmakers on Capitol Hill say they are concerned that some of the billions of dollars pledged to rebuild the Gaza Strip, including money from the United States, may end up in the hands of Hamas. Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit announced at an international donors conference on Monday that $4.48 billion in new funds has been pledged for rebuilding the Gaza Strip... He said other nations recommitted themselves to funds they promised in the past but never delivered, bringing the total to $5.2 billion. That includes $900 million from the United States..."
U.S. Rep. Mark Kirk, R-Ill, told FOXNews.com: "To route $900 million to this area, and let's say Hamas was only able to steal 10 percent of that, we would still become Hamas' second-largest funder after Iran." He called the package a "waste of money," given the U.S. recession.
Much of this money is supposed to be funneled through the United Nations and Mahmoud Abbas's Palestinian Authority. Any money going through the PA will certainly end up supporting terrorism as Fatah itself has an armed terrorist wing. The UN is no more reputable an organization. As Fox News reports, "most recently, UNRWA handed Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., a letter addressed to President Obama from Hamas. The group apparently did not tell Kerry the letter was from Hamas, but later told media outlets that it was -- outraging U.S. officials." Further, UN agencies actually have a history of allowing Hamas members to work for them. Former U.N. Commissioner-General for Gaza and the West Ban Peter Hansen stated, back when he was the head of UNRWA, that "I am sure that there are Hamas members on the UNRWA payroll and I don't see that as a crime . . . we do not do political vetting and exclude people of one persuasion as against another."
Congress must stop this madness, and make sure that not a single taxpayer dime goes toward this terrorist stimulus plan.
